Newburyport Human Rights Commission Awards

Last night, at City Hall, the Newburyport Human Rights Commission awarded students in Newburyport schools the 2024 Peace Prize Award. Receiving this honor were IC students Rider Hogan, gr 5 and Lindsay Longacre, gr 8, pictured below. Principals from every school were in attendance as well as Superintendent Sean Gallagher and City Mayor Sean Reardon, who gave out the awards. An impressive group of young people were honored with remarks shared about their daily interactions in the school setting that encourages peace, equity, and acceptance. Congratulations to all the Peace Prize Award recipients!
