Each May, over 50 IC students grades K-8 perform in an annual theater production open to the community. Under the direction of Deirdre Budzyna and Beth Anderson-Song, students participate in every aspect of the show. From acting, singing, and dancing to prop design and lighting, performers gain an overall understanding of and appreciation for the performing arts. Past shows have included Mulan, Godspell, The Little Mermaid, and most recently Willy Wonka.
Auditions are held in February, rehearsals begin in March, and performances occur in May. All interested students are cast in a role in the show; K-3 students are placed in the chorus and grades 4-8 audition for main roles.
